15 months & 37 months.

It has been a while since I did an update on the girls, so I figure I better do it before their NEXT birthdays (2 & 4, what?!)

We'll start with the little one.  Katester Bunny.

Kate is fifteen months in a couple of days.  She has changed so much since her last update (I think at 11 months was the last time I blogged about her, oops!)  Here's what Kate has been up to:

-She is such a daredevil.  Always climbing on the table, bed, (and falling off a few times, too).  I am constantly rescuing her throughout the day!

-She is a great eater still.  Just like her sister, she loves fruit & cheese best :) She is still nursing at night and in the morning.  I never thought I'd still be nursing with her this old, but I just love the cuddles - I'm doing it for selfish reasons, really :)

-Kate doesn't say too many words but knows a few - mama, dada, nana (banana), down, NO!, whoa, Jesus, Papa, ball, cheese, baba (nursing& a couple others that I think of right now.  She's quite as verbal as her sister was at this age, but probably because Aubrey does ALL the talking for her, ha!  She also recently learned all her animal noises - so cute!

-She is friendly to strangers, unless they come too close.  Ariel gave her a meltdown at Disneyland.  Old people also freak her out.

-Naps once a day now - I love one long nap so much better than two short ones!  She goes down pretty easy and wakes up happy as ever.

-Loves playing around other little kids.

-Can point to lots of parts of her body when asked - eyes, nose, ears, cheeks, chin, tummy, bum bum, head, hair, teeth.

-LOVES brushing her teeth and having her hair done.  When I say in the morning, "time to get ready!" she darts to the bathroom brushing her hair with her fingers.  It's pretty much the cutest thing ever.

-She has slept through the night since she's been one - the girls go to bed at 7:00 pm and we don't see them again until 7 or 7:30 am.  Heaven.

-Freaks OUT when Steve comes home.  I'm as good as gone.  And I'm ok with that come 5:00 ;)

-Constantly making messes - while I'm cleaning up one, she's getting into something else.  She's a handful, that one!

-Loves doing whatever her sister is doing.  We are in such a sweet stage where they love playing together.  This is exactly what I looked forward to when I was pregnant with Aubrey.  I love how they love each other.  But let's keep it real - they fight sometimes, too. :)

-Sweet, happy, and silly.  Those are the three words that come to my mind when I think of our Katester at this age.  Love her!

And Miss Aubrey..

She fell asleep on the way home from the store one night and had a death grip on a receipt.

Aubrey is 3 years and one month old.  Don't worry, I don't really refer to her at "37 months" when people ask how old she is, but for blog purposes, I will :)  She is such a KID these days - no more toddler.

-She loves doing so many things:  games (Candy Land and Operation are her faves), arts and crafts, tea parties with her dolls, playing outside, etc.  I love that she is such a girly girl and will play dress up and want to paint her nails, and then at the same time loves to do sports outside, and race cars down the stairs.  She's a well rounded girl :)

-She is very sensitive when she gets in trouble.  We don't yell or spank or anything like that, but even when we talk sternly to her she will burst into tears and want to cuddle.

-We have totally given up on naps (it's been MONTHS) and she just has quiet time while her sister naps.  Mama's gotta get stuff done!

-She wants to be everyone's friend at the park, or wherever we go where there are kids.  She will just go up to a kid and stand there all shy until they start talking to her.

-Although she is sweet, she's VERY sassy.  She's definitely a "threenager."

-She loves being with me so much and I just love it.  I'm crossing my fingers she always wants to play with me as much as she does.  She's my little sidekick and I adore all the time we get to spend together. It's kind of sad how fast school is approaching..

-She does so many things every day to make us laugh, and I'm constantly writing things down.  Today she pointed to a zit on my face and said, "Is that a little nipple on your face?"
